What If I Mess It All Up

As Christians we are to love the Lord with all our heart as In Matthew 22:37- 40 declares, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Upon receiving Jesus into our lives every servant of God becomes equipment with an anointing on the inside of them which connects our spirit with him. After this connection we are ready to become fishers of men, to spread the gospel and to be used by God. As he begins to use us he places an anointing on our lives for Ministry. However, too often some of us keep running from ministry, running from bringing people to Christ, running from doing things for God, running from our true purpose. Why would we want to keep him to ourselves? I ask myself that question many times. Until I began to search myself and finally realize that in the past I to would be afraid to talk to persons about Christ, for what if I failed? What if I messed up? What would people say? How would they look at me? What would they think of me? Would they say that I am not a Christian? Would I be destroying God’s name and image?
It took me years to realize that God’s call does not end on my life when I mess up. We fight a devil who tries to keep us down and make us mess things up every time we try and it took me a while to learn how to fight the enemy. As I searched for answers, God began to show me everyone in the bible that had a love and a passion for him but still manage to mess up. Hey, look at Adam and Eve, David, Moses, Saul, Peter etc. All these men were on fire for God but messed up along the way but it was the fight on the inside that did not allow them to give up.
As I grew in Christ I began to understand what Acts 28:13 says: “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy”. Acts 3:19 says, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”. God created an avenue for repentance when he sent his son JESUS to die for our sins and gave us an advantage and victory when Jesus rose from the dead. Now, it is soo much easier for us to come to God for a cleaning and an overhaul when we think we have messed things up. I encourage you to get back in line TODAY and continue to allow God to use you. There is work to be done and it all begins with you.
