When King Saul disobeyed God and was banished from the Kingdom, the bible said a disturbing spirit was allowed to rested upon him by God. They tried for many days to comfort him but without no avail. It was David and the playing of his Harp that delivered Saul. Delivered him YES! but only for a time, for after David would depart the spirit would return. 1 Samuel 16:14-23
David played the harp and was successful in Saul's deliverance but Saul was not set free. This is what happens when we attempt to deliver a person who is not truthful about their disobedience and the sin they repeatedly commit. What David did not know was that Saul was in direct disobedience to the voice of God and his spiritual leader Saul. What David did not know was that Saul has repeatedly disobeyed God and a decision was already made. What David did not know was that Saul was already stripped and was already judged for what he did. 1 Samuel 15:28
Saul's faith could not be reversed, it was sealed. Today Jesus' death, burial and resurrection has made it so much easier for us to seek forgiveness and deliverance when we have disobeyed the voice of God. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, He has made it so much easier for us to remain free. But how do you we remain free? Five words: "Go and sin no more" was a phase used by Jesus many times throughout His ministry because He understood that though at times, we may fall into sin we must consciously recognize our wrong, repent and prevent ourselves from indulging in sin John5:14.
Jesus will never force you. We must remember, from the beginning of time God has given us a free will and a choice to choose good or evil. Joshua 24:15. The choice is always in our hands. God is watching to see who you will choose, if you will obey and what you will do. Remember, His eyes behold the good and the evil of man every day. He already sees it all and knows it all, he knows your limit, your weakness and your strengths
and has already made a way of escape for you. 1 Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Will you take that path to total freedom today?
